Linux Logitech Mouse Config

There is this nice config thing in KDE where you can tweak your mouse. You can find it in systemsettings or directly via "kcmshell4 mouse"

On my system it told me that I do not have permissions.
LogitechMouse::updateResolution: Error getting resolution from device :  error sending control message: Operation not permitted
Same problems with lomoco.
Writing to USB device: RES: Operation not permitted

You could do sudo. That works.
Or look in the systemsettings mouse help (and wonder where hotplug is...):
http://docs.kde.org/stable/en/kde-workspace/kcontrol/mouse/index.html#logitech-mouse

I didn't find a real solution on the net. But tinkering around I got to the udev.rules.
lomoco has some and installs them in /lib/udev/rules.d/ but they don't seem to set the group.
So I modified them to do so:
https://docs.google.com/file/d/0B-DgjzoFZxxweko5aWZCMm1nQTQ/edit?usp=sharing

Get that rules file and put it in /etc/udev/rules.d/ , restart udev via "service udev restart" and you should be good to go to modify the settings in the KDE settings and via lomoco without using sudo. If not, be sure that you are in that group too.
